I just wonder how many people might get caught up in this and, take out a loan for $1,000 and how will they pay that back? If they don't have the money in first place I can't see where borrowing a thousand dollars or whatever amount will really help them out, maybe they will feel ok for a week or so and then comes the time for pay back. How much interest does one have to pay on these loans? I think if you don't have the money for Christmas, then come to terms with the fact that you will have to cut back this year.I guess this would be a good solution if you knew you had some money coming in at a certain point and could handle paying back this loan. Beware is all I can say. jj

I agree with JJ's point. Spending payday loan proceeds for a Christmas holiday is not right. People should use this credit instrument wisely because we all know that payday loan is typically a more expensive type of credit. It is not meant to be a solution to long-term money problems, but rather a quick fix for a particular situation. Payday loans are most effectively used by paying them back in full by the specified due date.
